Well i must say a few things here...

1. A huge thanks for maxbimmer for holding another awesome cruise
2. Jay, much love for putting in the time and effort, to actually drive these roads, print and copy the directions for everyone...thank you brother... keep it up
3. In terms of speed, people were reckless at times but things got better fortunately and unfortunately after the mentioned incident...
4. Know YOUR car, if you have a slower car and want to pass people thats fine, do it when you actually can, one car at a time. If i didn't actually slow down for a couple people to enable them to cut me off, they wouldnt live to see another day, i would call them out but out of respect for the community i won't. But you know who you guys are...
5. Some nice cars came out, blue e46 M vert, & the 7 on alpinas were definitely my favs
6. Cant wait to see the pix and the videos from the camera crew and the videographers.

Wow I cant believe the lack of appreciation some people have. Thanks Jay for taking the time out of your weekend to make the route, drive it the week before to make sure everything was ok and for stopping to try and let people catch up.

In reality people will get separated its impossible to keep 50+ cars together thats wheres theres a stupid-proof piece of paper given out with turn by turn directions. If it's hard to read and drive bring a co-pilot.

Anuk and I got pulled over 2 years ago and got stuck for 20 mins with Officer douche but we eventually caught up with the group by following the directions. Its not that hard..

Thank you to Maxbimmer and all the organizers of this event.

This was my first drive and it was quite enjoyable - but only after the first stop when we were able to back on track (drove directly to Beaverton). It was an awesome sight to see such a long train of BMW's on all of those winding roads.

If I can be free to comment (I don't want to complain) that the maps although helpful, would have been better if there were more waypoints specified to help setup the GPS (maybe small maps printed). As I am not from T.O. I was quite unfamiliar with the area and was off track right out of the gate and my "navigator" was unable to help on the fly.

I understand the difficulty in organizing a small group, but getting ~50-80 (??) cars ultimately finding each other, should be considered an amazing accomplishment even for the few that got "lost".

It's too bad that due to conflicting events, I had to leave the trek early (~5:30) and missed the end.

Any word about the guy that kissed the tree on Loop Road? I didn't hear any comments on the health of those people, assuming they were from the group.

I've driven many of these cruises in the past several years. From what I recall (as I wasn't at this one), the map print outs always have turn by turn directions with kilometre markings (you reset your trip odo at the start point) for every turn. If that held true for this cruise's map, I'm appalled hearing that anyone would have genuine difficulty navigating the route...

Just to clarify (for myself only) - I only had difficulty out of the gate and my "navigator" was my half blind wife, so I guess it's by fault.

My poor navigation skills were developed while hiking cross country with a map and a compass (rifle and pack), while attempting to serve this country - and was easier, since the task at hand was very specific. Driving on the other hand (being the intent of any rally) requires attention to that task, but if appears that due to my careless attention to that exercise (and having driven almost 40 years accident free - including the almost limit fee Autobahn) it appears I have created an appalling description of my abilities.

Thanks again to Jay for organizing everything and taking the time to make and run the route earlier for us. We appreciate it!

As for the directions, I've been doing these cruises for three years now and haven't had any difficulty either. With that said, I have a pretty good sense of direction.

Sidenote to two drivers - to that of the white E90 323i with the red reflective tape on the trunk and to that of the stock black E46 325ci with the license plate frame.

To the E90 driver, maybe if you didn't tailgate so much you wouldn't have to constantly be on the brakes. You were so close to that E92 M3 (which I'm sure can stop a lot quicker than you, too) that if he had to brake you'd be eating his bumper right away. People, please don't tailgate each other on these cruises. I've had instances where we've had to slow down FAST and you really need to leave yourself some room!

To the E46 driver, you were driving well beyond your limits. If you can't stay in your lane around corners, you're doing it wrong. You freaked the living shit out of that oncoming car who you almost hit when nearly half your car was over the center line on a blind corner. Smarten up. If you can't comfortably keep up with the cars ahead (or behind) you in the corners while driving within your limits then it's time to pull over and let some people by. Just because you can hit the gas and kind of keep up in the straights doesn't mean you're in the right spot.

Shame about that E46 M3. Anyone have any details about the 1 that went off the road?

he almost crashed it to me right as we got on the 401

dont come to these events thinking you can show off your non existing driving skills and your butchered car that is almost entirely being held together by the wrap on it
we do these things for fun not to show off and endanger others

The lack of appreciation, cooperation, competency, and support on these events is unbelievable.

Shoutout to the 50% of attendees who listened, drove properly, and don't complain about computer-generated directions from the world's largest mapping company.

Jay don't feel bad; these days most people cant tell North from South...and East from West...I deal with this ALL day long, and its just mind blowing. People got way too used to GPS, and are fully lost without it. My father was a Rally driver in his days, and the first thing i remember him teaching me was the importance of a co-driver, and good direction (more important than a fast driver!).

The day was awsome. great sunny day and great choice of roads. too bad 2 guys crashed and 1 got pulled over. Of course they catched the 8 series. such a classic. thanks for organizing the event. I only got screwed up at the first woodbine exit. bunch of us took wrong exit. I eventually figure out the how to read the directions with the map provided. I think GPS is making us all dumb. I use to travel to USA with mapquest no problems. now cant figure out basic directions on paper. Other than that was real good. will update pics later. they all over 10Mbs. Thanks
