maXbimmer Spring Cruise 2015: Saturday May 2nd
Date: Saturday May 2nd
Time: 11:00am meet
Meeting Place: Kennedy Commons Plaza, 33 William Kitchen Rd, Toronto (Kennedy Rd/401)
Parking Area: In front of closed-down Rona. Back-up lot Tim Hortons further down William Kitchen Rd.
Welcome back to another driving season. As we do every Spring, let's all meet up for the first long, scenic drive in our BMWs. A day of fun, anger, fun again, panic, fun once more, then finally exhaustion and sleep.
500+km from start to finish plus stops, this is a long day. Joining the drive for "the first bit" is something that at least a few guys do every year and frankly it's not wroth your time. 90% of the beautiful views, challenging roads, and desolate traffic take place towards the middle and end of the cruise, when we're the furthest from Toronto. If you're not committing to the whole day, expect to be disappointed.
Have a full tank, tread on your tires, suitable paperwork for your car, and a respect for the cars and drivers around you and you will enjoy a great time. We pause throughout the day both for regrouping and scenic lookouts; we also stop for both lunch and dinner (taking off at dinner being the earliest I'd suggest leaving for the day to not miss anything big).
So take the covers off, change your oil, and otherwise get ready for another maXbimmer cruise for the books. See you in May.

North and East. Ends up very far away in those combined directions and 500km is the round-trip back to Toronto. It's about 400km to dinner, and 100km or an hour back to the city after the dinner stop.
