I also have to say, last year's fall cruise was arguably the most fun I've ever had in a car. Great people, great driving, great roads (even with those bumpy patches)

Looking forward to this years. I'll be driving 4 hours just to make it out!

Got my car out of impound $900 later, just finished fixing my oil pan and putting new oil in.

She's ready for one last mission before she goes into storage!

I think the crazy Bulgarian brother team should be in pending the weather. After several weeks of blasting European hwy's and finally lapping the Nürburgring, this will be a nice way to ease back into the reality of Canadian roads upon our return. I did put the e39 away before i left though, so I have to decide on a car. These events are always an absolute blast. Here's hoping to a small group with the usual suspects

Happy Monday everyone. So last week I kept playing around with google maps and previous year's routes until I ended up with an entirely new one. About 90% of the non-freeway part of the route wasn't touched on last year's cruise, and at least 60% of the new cruise has never been seen in one of my events yet. This is largely due to brand new paved roads where there was only gravel before.

The new route is smooth, extremely scenic, and a nice mix of challenging and relaxing. And by relaxing I don't mean straight boring parts because there are few of those; just easier sweepers and gentle bends to calm the nerves after a few tighter sections.

It is not overly long. The round trip back into Vaughan region is around 450km. The full event including the final lunch stop should get you back into the GTA by 6pm. There will be a half-hour break stop for restrooms, gas (Shell 91) and coffee/snacks at noon. For those living north of Barrie who want to skip the freeway portion in the morning PM me for the break stop location. I will only reply to known/older member's accounts so if you're new you'll have to meet us in Woodbridge to prove you're not a cop (). Lunch after the twisties part of the cruise will be waterfront and therefore hopefully sunny.

I went Saturday when it was POURING all day long. Still had a great time exploring the new roads. I only stopped for pics once as I didn't feel like getting drenched more often than that time:

So yeah. Come out.

Damn it I have a conflict for this one. And I had a low oil pressure warning for the spring one.

I may be coming this year, since things have calmed down.

I don't mind a bit of spirited driving, but I save my speed for the track.
No desire to put myself, my passengers, or my car in harms way.

Is there a facebook event for the cruise?

P.S. - Non BMWs allowed?
I have a friend with a first gen Mini Cooper (R53) who wants to come.

Sure, come out and all BMWs can come, even the funny looking FWD ones.

I highly recommend staying at the very back of the pack, though. Speeds climb dramatically in the middle of the group for various reasons and you won't enjoy being tailgated and/or passed repeatedly by those wanting to go faster. There will be addresses of the meet spots (as well as VERY few traffic lights to break us up) for you to follow in case you lose sight of the pack.

Gonna have to sit out this one, Jay Elsa and I will be sad. Got other commitments I simply can't break, but I appreciate that you were willing to give out the northern stop point to help us northerners save time and distance. You rock!

Anymore events this year, or will we be waiting until the Spring Cruise?

And there better be some good photos and videos, dammit! LOL Will there ever be any from the Midnight Cruise???

Handouts finished, timing for the stops set, and the lunch/dinner tables have been reserved. Just a few more days
