Alright everyone, the route is set and we're ready to go! As I figured, I had to shuffle pretty much everything from previous routes in order to make a morning start and afternoon patio lunch work properly. Here's some details:
- We leave 400/7 @ 10am sharp
- Previous lunch stop 1 hour in at Subway / Coffee Time on Hwy 11 is now just a gas/snacks/re-group 15 minute break (both restaurants closed! Restrooms still there)
- I'm bringing back a driver's favourite road that I haven't incorporated since 2011 or so. But it's very bumpy, as are a few others in this year's route. Soooo...
- ...do not bring a slammed, stiff car! I always try to set my routes with minimal bumps and other problems for lowered cars, but this time I have chosen not to in the interest of more challenging roads. If you have a stock Sport suspension or are only lowered an inch or two you will be fine. But I am not driving my M Roadster!
- One break stop just before lunch will be at a great brewery. Free beer samples before lunch! Enjoy responsibly (it will be a VERY short stop to assist with this).
- Lunch will be on Boston Pizza's Gravenhurst patio if the weather allows. This is at around 2:30pm.
- We head back to the twisty roads after lunch and take them south towards Toronto. For the first time, a fun route after the meal!
- The usual warnings here: front plates, lic/ins/reg, no passing, don't drive like an ass or you will be sent home.
See you Sunday morning!

So far, the forecast for Sunday up this way is around 20 degrees, only 30% chance of precip. I think we are going to have a lovely day in Muskoka!

Really? You think Jay would take a cruise down a road that's bad enough to damage suspension components?
Chances are the road isn't even that bad, just that there are some dips and sags in the pavement that will cause some scraping in cars that are low.

I have full confidence that our leader Jay would not choose a road that would damage or spoil the fun of the cruise ... although a couple years back for the fall cruise we ran a section of twisty road that was a lot of fun but left me with a few scrape on left and right front rim... my fault i was running low profiles tires and trying to keep up with all the Michael Schumacher that were in front LOL..... Anyway what ever route Jay takes us it will be a incredible experience... see you all Sunday... cheers
