White "LTW" E36 M3 in Brampton Today.

Looked beautiful! Definitely don't seen many OE styled and clean E36 M3s around (unless it's actually a real LTW!). Anyone on here? There was an Imola E46 ZHP coupe in front of you as well.

Whoa! Cool car!

SickFinga 10-24-2016 04:11 AM

There are no LTWs in Ontario. It's hard to see, but it looks like a 97+ model and it doesn't look like it has a splitter in the front.

Yes, not a real LTW.
I believe it's a 3.2L S50 with a 6spd.

For those of you looking for how to spot a true 1995 Lightweight: look for early style thin kidney grilles, white (body colour) mesh covering the front air intake under the kidney grilles, proper early style side markers, and the BMW MOTORSPORT stamped forged wheels. :)

Nice car! *th-up*

Chuck's auto has been in business for ages, surprised you never heard of them.

That is the garage owners (Chuck's Auto in Rexdale) nephew's car, it came from Japan imported around a year + ago, very low miles. Took a long time to get paper work done.

Charlie (BIMMERSPORT) used to work there as a mechanic.

I remember hearing that Chuck sold the shop. Were the rumors false?

How come? It's almost 20 years old.

I have no idea just what I heard.

SiR 10-29-2016 04:52 PM

weird since you can get jap imports like nothing these days. And quite a few floating around.

As for hearing about it... I can't say I have ever heard of it being mentioned here. And since I do my own work 99% of the time... I guess Im not familiar with the less active forum shops.

Im sure they are good.

Id love for some of these jap cars to post some local track times... I bet some us specs make them look silly ;)

This is Tony's Car, he is Chuck's Nephew, and Chuck still owns and operates the shop. Tony imported that Eurospec E36 this year, and it is a great looking car, and in amazing shape. So many mechanics started off at Chucks, and then went on to open up their own places after.

bjsbrandon 11-29-2016 08:44 AM

it's actually a russian import 318 that's why the paperwork took so long
