If you want to be lied to about minimal work done then continue going there..
I especially hate @#$%^&* who's work i have to go over after touching my car. Master mechanic, huh?? BS!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to pay dealer prices then, best go to the dealer...Best thing about the dealer is....they kind of know what they are doing....
Best thing is...don't talk to me about this place...please......remember, its my opinion and i am entitled to it.

He's not Korean, and it's not in "Danforth town" so you just struck out twice.

While I agree BMWs are nothing special and anyone can work on them.
What I think you are skipping over is that someone with more experience with BMWs will be able to diagnose a problem faster and more accurately, possibly saving you money, so why not use one of the site sponsors?
Another reason is that general mechanics may be working on your BMW doing the repair for the first time. For things other than maintenance items, doing it the first time most likely takes longer. For example, rear wheels bearings, RTAB, CAB, control arms, suspension bushings, etc.
The advantage to the customer is that the shop can charge less than 'book rate' for a job if they know they can finish it quicker. For example, Stancefactory did the clutch on my m3, normal by the book labor rate is probably 5-7hrs on that type of job. Mike can probably do a clutch with his hands tied behind his back in less time than that, therefore they are able to charge less than the book rate, which you'd probably pay at other shops, especially if they haven't done the job before and won't be able to get it done faster than the book rate.

Autotrend is O/O by Don Katsumi whom is a very proud Canadian of Japanese descent. He has been working on BMWs longer than most of you guys have been able to drive. Does anyone remember the legendary Beach Auto BMW dealership? Well, Don was the man that made their service department famous. People used to note that it was Beach Auto serviced when selling. His work is amazing but not tuner oriented, it's also a bit pricey BUT he stands behind his work 100%. I do recommend Don.
IMHO

I recommend Bimmex all the way, very professional friendly staff; these guys took care of my car like no other shop has before.
I took my Bimmer to a couple of known locations in Mississauga, but after I received a mediocre service and was diagnosed the wrong items I never took them there again.
Try Bimmex, you wont regret it

Auto Eurotic on Eglinton & Laird
Domenic @ Auto Eurotic gets the nod from me. Located in Toronto near Eglinton Ave E. and Laird Dr. He's reliable & provides quality service at a reasonable price. Works within a budget. I don't have any affiliation with him other than getting my car serviced there. He's a one man shop. Has all the latest tools.
I've know him for more than 15 years. If you want integrity & honesty in the automotive service industry, he's it.

Id go with RMP.
I used to go to Bimmersport back in 05/06 but I stopped going there a few years back...Charlie rarely works on the cars himself anymore or monitors whats going on. Jon is a nice guy and so are most of the techs, but I trusted only Charlie with my ride and once it became clear he was not touching the cars anymore, I went to RMP.
Rocco spends a lot more time on the cars in his shop himself, compared to Bimmersport, and plus you can never beat the service you get at RMP.
Always 100% professional and they dont play favorites (i.e if you're a buddy of one of the tecs at Bimmersport, they mysteriously find a way to fit you in right away, otherwise you better wait a few days and also end up leaving your car with them all day. Oh and the $ quoted also goes down ! I've witnessed that several times!)
At RMP - I've never been pushed aside for anyones 'buddies' - service is fair and no favoritism. Price is standard for everyone.
Thats all one can hope to expect. So RMP for the win !
