In a way yes, but in a way no. the evolution series were a limited production build with upgraded engines and aerodynamics (similar to the CSL models). However they were not spartan like the CSL in terms of weight reduction.

thats correct. it was basically a upgraded m3 kind of like the csl but not hardcore on the weight reduction.

That is a nice collector cars, but after watching Fifth Gear take it around a track, and see its lap times, I was dissapointed.

I own it............... NOT.
But seriously, beyond the collectors status of it, why would someone want to fork out $50K+ for this ride. You can get a regular E30 M3 and pop all the BMW motorsports parts into it or aftermarket and do as well as this if not better for less dough. If you want to bubble car it, then I understand but if you're looking to drive, I don't get it.
