wet weather drivin.....

hi...qik question,

i've noticed with my 318is that even when there is a slight moisture on the road (ie. after 5 mins of light rain) if i accelerate moderately hard in first or second into a corner, my rears get almost no traction.....the back invariably slides out! i've got Pirelli P7000's on the rears with about 80-90% tread, and new Potenza G3's on the fronts. this also happens to a mate of mine who also has a 318is, but his has stock wheels/tires.

whats the problem....actually firstly, is this normal for a 318is? oh yeh....i don't have any problems braking in dry or wet weather, it only happens when i accelerate......

Your rear loose traction, cause the back wheels starts to aquaplane on the water. This has nothing to do with your car 318 etc. Almost any car with worn tyres can aquaplane during wet weather.

are you sayin that a tyres with 80-90% tread on it is "worn"??
