do you interior lights flash on / off too?.. if so, it's the door sensor that's probably gummed up. Otherwise I'm thinking a short in a wire somewhere?... tough for me to really say since I don't have experience with the window rollup/down feature... it's not Sedan's.

Might be the window is lacking the initialization thingy - it's got a program in the computer that senses for the anti-pinch and auto-up window.. did you disconnect the battery for any reason?
Try this: disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds. Reconnect it. Turn the ignition on. Lower the window all the way. Pause. Raise the window all the way - and when it hits the top-keep holding on the up switch for at least 5 seconds. Repeat for the other windows.

It's the sensor on the door latch, my friend had this same problem with this 318. If you grab the door handle and 'hold' the door closed does the window still move?
