I should have listened more but they both said no not even close will it fit. To answer the other question, I already bought dinan software (stage I) that is just a chip nothing more nothing less. When I get an intake (of any kind) the chip has to adapt to the new huge amount of air coming in. This means I need Dinan stage II but they will not upgrade me without the Dinan one. They say their software is only formulated for their intake. My car misfired when I had the carbonio one because the chip would not adapt, it needed stage II............

So it is just the chip causing the problem and not that the actual intake won't fit?

No, perhaps you guys are confused. The CARBONIO intake fit like a gem and was amazing, but becauses I didn't have the software to go with it I couldn't use it. If you have NO software, i.e. just the STOCK computer, then go for carbonio, it is amazing. The DINAN intake from the 95 M3 will NOT fit my car, so I have to buy a new one...................Jay, as long as you have the stock computer you can do anything, I am sort of "screwed" becacuse I have the Dinan software. But whatever, I am getting the intake, throttle body and stage III software in a week or so anyways.

Thats kind of sucks about the Dinan Stage I chip not being compatible with the intake......I remember talking to my mechanic (Sam at Cross Avenue Auto), you probably spoke with him when checking if your intake would work.......He said that with any intake system you are running the car a bit lean because your ECU hasn't been modified for the new fuel curves, he told me I am doing harm to my engine with my K&N intake system.........Well, I have ran it for over 150,000kms and never any problem or never a blown Mass Air flow sensor.....I think he was just trying to sell me on some Dinan Stuff, LoL......
I complety forgot about your stage I chip upgrade which would cause a problem because I know on the Dinan website it has an intake for without a chip and one for with........
Sorry about saying it would work, as far as fitment, I thought it did, but yeah that sucks that you have to upgrade the chip......
Good Luck
Jay

Well stage I to stage II is FREE................except you have to buy THEIR intake. So if I were to find a used Dinan intake I could install it and then go to Dinan and say "STAGE II NOW" and I would not owe them a penny.............but the upgrade to stage III is about 160CDN..........either way I am expecting about 20HP or so from everything (stage III software, intake, throttle body) so it should be a pretty good upgrade. I also have my 3:15 rear diff which makes a big difference. The car runs 15.09 @ 92MPH with just the diff in.
