inline vs V

whats the difference cons n pros of inline engines in comparison to the v layout? im asking cus i notice alot of bmws have inline engines? are they better or just cheaper to manufacture?

V engines are typically smaller, saving space.

Its hard to compare i think.

Some ppl say the sound of an inline 6 is different, and it way it revs.
