Nice! What year is it? I've got a 97 2.8 z3...

OBD-II is not an easy system to program and it sounds like you have a custom setup... (i.e. 4 lb boost) In that case you most likely will NOT require different injectors depending on your setup. Software updates of such nature will most likely require some tunner time on a dyno (since this is a custom setup). The only place that I head does this in toronto is superchips... though I'm not sure they can do that for F/I applications. You may end up having to get your dyno's done a couple of times with a wideband A/F ratio and then send it with your ECU back and forth to ActiveAutowerke for tunning.

Your best bet would have been to go with tunned kit (ie. AA, Dinan, RMS)... Let me know how it goes... It would be interesting to hear since I'd eventually like to go down that road. For now however I stayed N/A (with M3 cams, ITG intake, M50 manifold and JC 328 cam software, pulleys and fan delete) and am putting down around 210 Whp. I will be doing a LTW flywheel and exhaust next... then maybe F/I next year (probably RMS blower with AA software or PD blower with JC software)

Regards,

RMS (www.racemarque.com) Vortech blowers are on sale right now (3995 USD for stage 1). Stage 2 is 5895 USD and includes aftercooler and more boost.

I'd probably ordre the Stage 1 with out the software (should be a bit cheaper) and then order the software from AA (since they tunned it already with the Vortech and the M50 manifold on the 2.8). This project will be perhaps March or April next year. In the mean time I'll beef up the suspension/brakes and finish the current performance mods (fly wheel and exhaust).

What do you have done on yours? For N/A stuff the JC cam kit is excellant and I highly recommend it. You basically get M3 performance for a fraction of the cost of the supercharger.

... I thought the 2.8 came out in 97?

The M52B28 uses the 21.5 lb injectors same as the 3.2L. This is good till about 275hp @ the crank. What kind of blower do you have? Can you post some details about your setup? 24 lb are the next ones up... you will need tunning though...

Thanks,

You're going to need 24lb injectors without a doubt if you go to 8 psi. Superchips (Peter) is the only local canadian I know of. If you convert to OBD 1 Mark D'Silva can help you out. He doesn't do OBD II tuning though.
2.8 did come out in 97, he's swapped in an iron block M52.
How's the balance of your car given the extra 150lbs or so in the fron end?
Have you upped you spring rates to competsate?

Hey Tom-- don't forget your custom common ground system. Good for 7 rwhp on a new 350Z you know!

Interesting setup, what is A.T.I. ? Never heard of them. Pics would be nice, you too JazzM (btw, I think the 2.8 came out in '96, hence the '96 328iS that some members have).
