It's over 15 so you're good. Read up on the import rules on the CBSA website just to make sure you don't miss bringing any paperwork you might need!
Nice car too!

Sweet car! Like others said it's 15 years old so you're golden... as long as it's not Right Hand Drive. Then you are royally screwed.

More than 15 years means it is an antique. There are special rules that make it easier... Welcome to Canada!

Not necessarily antique. Depends on the province, but here in ON, to qualify as historic, has to be 30 years.

My father imported a car twice from Europe, it was actually quite easy. Just make sure it's clean (literally, you need to hose it down real good) and find a good roll on-roll off ferry sailing from Rotterdam, Rome, Le Havre or possibly Athens to Halifax.

no, wrong.

nothing to do with provinces, importing is federal.

15 years old doesn't make it easier, it makes it possible. if the vehicle is less than 15 years old and doesn't meet CMVSS regulations (most cars dont, even if the same car was sold in canada, if it wasn't originally spec'ed as CMVSS compliant it wont pass) it is NOT importable, period.

There are ways around this, you can lie on the paperwork, etc. but legally speaking, less than 15 years old, not original canadian market car, not admissable.

Rules from the USA are different (us guidelines are considered equivalent to cmvss)

^^actually anuk that wont help. the RIV is a program which the CBSA hired livingston international (a private company) to administer for them. It deals only with importing vehicles from the USA into canada. It actually says all this on their homepage (your link)

(i'm done being a smartass now )

Its not that rare of a car to pay shipping, and all other fees, taxes, etc.., defiantly not worth the effort, you can buy a good example here for less.
