Converting to OBD I with an auto harness

Hi guys,

I've bee reading post after post and I'm getting a mixed response when I look for answers regarding the auto harness. Does anything need to be modified in the harness/any wires connected to allow it to function in a manual car? I'm using a chipped red label 413 and a harness from a 93/94 325is. It's going on a 97 s52.

Thanks

Matt

Get an ETM, look up the colors and make the cuts at the splice points. If it's done right, it'll function and look 99.999% like a manual harness.

For others seeking this information:

In the auto wire loom that goes down to the trans, there is a brown/black wire (brown wire/black stripe). This wire has to be grounded. This wire grounds the starter relay (86pin) as if the car was in park or neutral. You can also do this right at the trans module plug, as it is the same colour and comes out of pin 26 on the trans module plug.

x2.....I've deleted all the auto wiring without having to do that on two different harnesses.

The motor is all together. I just have to pull the M50 out and drop the S52 in
