My first car.
Hey everyone, Im finally joining the world of BMWs . I was hoping to get myself a nice little e30 but ended up stumbling on this nice little 1995 e34 525i. Its my first car and will probably be a daily driver. When it comes to BMWs im not an expert but when it comes to cars im like a sponge and im sure all you guys here will share your knowledge and expertise.
as it stands the car is stock except for e39 m5 rims and i think the previous owner said he put a K&N air filter in it. it has 230 000k on it but it seems to be running fine so far
what it needs is some rust repaired around the body and the front quarters need to be painted. underneath there is barely any rust, apparently the car was brought to germany and back but i wont know for sure until i get the used car buying kit or whatever it was the seller was supposed to supply. The car needs a new O2 sensor and i need to fix what engages the E-brake, the part that hold the handle up is worn on the very bottom notch so it always says the E-brake is on ... uhh what else. OH YEAH my friend was playing around with the shifter and the circlip that holds the gear linkage to the shift lever fell out -__- i had to hold it in place with a coat hanger while my friend drove it home one block in first gear. On the bright side i have about a month til i get my license so until then ill be working on fixing up the little problems, any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yess!!, another e34 in the ottawa family i took a look at this car the other day, and seems to be pretty solid. Needs some work around the edges but its a great platform to start with. Ill give my help as best i can and im sure others will put in their two cents

Small update (no pics yet) but I put the grill in properly and put the little grills around the lights in. I've arranged some new tires and ill be getting it to auto class really soon to patch up the rusty spots. I got the new circlip in on the shifter linkage and last but not least I got my o2 sensor in the mail. Oh shit n one more thing. I ordered some HIDs. I know I'm only talking cosmetic stuff for now but id like to add some power later on hopefully in the summer.

Welcome Mr I-post-giant-freaking-photos!
I kid, I kid...but seriously. When you post your image, make sure it says:

But yeh, nice E34! We have a Captain E34, so you can be First Officer E34.

Nice car! Good on you fror picking something classy for your first one.
If you need any bit, Kenny u-pull on Merivale has (had?) a black e34 in really good shape. (I'm thinking for the fenders)
