Running stock wheels. 225/50R16.

I am hoping the MCO guys allow me to run these without adding points. The Bridgestone website lists them as 200 UTQG but they say 180 on the side.

Hmm...Tire Rack lists the RE-11 as available with both the 180 and 200 ratings. The 180 ones are $20 cheaper per tire, so I assume those are the older ones being sold off at a discount. I'll bet this is a similar deal to the Hankook R-S3: Hankook changed its UTQG rating from 140 to 200 in order to let it be used in SCCA autocross street classes. UTQG rating is set by the manufacturer, and ultimately has no consequence. Same tire, different stamp.

Sorry, I'm new to Canada, is there an MTO requirement for treadwear rating?

Aha, that makes much more sense.

So it sounds like I'm free to run my 40 rating Toyo RRs on the street! #swagswagyolo
