e36 Cupholder alternatives

Hi, didn't think this was a problem till I actually owned the car as it has a cup holder compared to none in the e30. I find that the cup holder in the e36 is really junk to the point that most drinks do not fit, I've tried ripping out the cup holder from the console and the drink does fit but it gets into the way of shifting so was wondering if there was a possible solution that people use, other than not drink anything that is not bottled.

i have an aftermarket cup holder that came from an e36 sedan. its made of some sort of foam, isnt very pretty but it has much larger cup holes

ive never seen any center consul setup that wasnt factory that didnt look terribly out of place in between the front seats
