hi this might be the wrong thread, just wondering if there is any information anywhere on the forums about where to buy air filter cleaning products in Toronto.

u referring to K&N filters? Canadian tire, performance shops, bmw performance shops should carry them. depends on what kind of air filter you are speaking of. The factory air filters once used go in the trash. disposable. replacements are usually oem.

I think I've had 18 bmw's in 6 years.

If you're looking for K&N, then you can try the above.

For AFE, it's pretty difficult to find anything in the GTA. I bought an AFE filter + oil online from in BC. They have competitive pricing compared to US retailers, however they have a somewhat hefty charge for UPS shipping (but no brokerage fees since it's CDN). Taking into consideration duties, brokerage fees, and currency exchange and the risk of having a shipment being rejected (due to importing potentially flammable liquids), LowRiders comes out ahead compared to US retailers if you're in the market for filter+oil+cleaner; hard to get around the shipping cost though if you're just looking for cleaner

i have AFE but it looks like the K&N cleaners will do the trick, both compounds are made of the same cleaner, just the colour might change, for me the blue got a little darker didnt become red. if you are fussy about stuff like that.

side question, is there a divider i can get online somewhere for my 325 2001 for the air filter, something that will keep it in place and possible point to the grille. im lookin to spend 50-70$ without gettin the whole kit.... any suggestions?

I find those air filter cleaners to be a big money grab. You can clean the filter using any type of degreaser mixed and diluted hot water. What I do is take a plastic container big enough to fit the air filter. Fill it with hot water, and pour in some of my favorite degreaser, such as Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner. Drop in the air filter/K&N and agitate it for a bit. You'll see the dirt/grime come out and sink to the bottom of the bucket. Repeat and rinse, then let dry and spray on your favorite air filter oil. I've done this many times and the filter comes out cleaner than using the suggested air filter cleaning solution.
