Idrive software update?

Hey Everyone,

I am sure this has been posted or asked about at some point but I am asking again as sifting through pages of stuff isn't fun.

Anyhow I am curious if the idrive software update has to be done via dealer. The car is 04 545 without Navigation. Seems like the last update was done in 05 on it.

If it does have to be done by the dealer anyone know how many hours they normally charge on it?
