Bought a 2001 320i?

Bought a 2001 320i, the car looks very clean and drives good (124K). New to the bimmer game, what do you guys think and any comments or suggestions?

Get it inspected by a local bmw garage.

Coommon issues

valve cover gasket
ccv
intake elbows/bellows
boots
and so on are to be expected eventually.

And change the damn oil every 12000 or so NOT the bmw recommended service interval.

12000kms????!!!! ... Every 5000kms regardless of what car

There's much in depth oil research saying that changing every 5k is a waste ... I think that's what he's referring to

I've heard numbers like 8k for Dino oil and 15 for synthetic being fine

Thats good i guess however i prefer my oil not coming out pitch black... I'll continue wasting my money every 5k

BMW recommends something like once a year or 25K, when using the proper synthetic oils. I do mine 10-11K...
