No it definitely isn't. There would be issues while driving as well. My compressor is most likely shot. It does have 360k on it.

So yesterday I went to change the condenser. Got everything unbolted, new seals on, and whaddya know, the new condenser doesn't quite fit. The holes in the condenser for the lines are not the same. Instead of one larger, one small, both are the same size, and look to be closer to the large size on my old condenser. The holes also seem to be shallower, not as deep as on my old condenser. The larger line bolted up fine but the small line wouldn't go all the way in. Strange thing is, the new condenser came with its old lines still connected, and they were also one big one small but they fit properly in the hole.

I'm not sure what's up, maybe the one I sourced isn't OEM, because according to realoem.com the condenser was the same part number across different years.

The fittings on my Nissens were fine except that it was missing a support bracket for one of the lines which I had to fabricate (just a metal strap and a bolt). It's been 1.5 years so far and it seems fine. I was leery when I installed it because of the missing support hardware and the light weight (probably half the weight of the OE condenser).

That sucks when the wrong part screws up your install day. I lucked out because I bought my stuff 6 mos. before I installed it and didn't need to return anything. Hopefully, you can return yours.
