Hi all
i thought id pop in a say howdy on here from the UK.
i will be moving to Alberta next year at some point so it looks like this will be my main port of call from now on

Just in the thinking stages but does anyone know if i can successfully ship my E30 over and be able to get it road legal to Canadian laws?

Your sig says full weld in cage, this may be an issue, not 100% on the law on this in Alberta

Ahh I see, that slightly sucks. So is it mainly a weldin rollcage which is an issue or is it any cage entilerly?

I believe only a half cage will pass.

Hmmm so cutting half of it out may pass

So what about having a M60b40 in it? Will that pass?

You can make anything pass with the right amount of money. (And no I don't know what that means.)

It sounds like it's more of a headache bringing your car over here than it would be parting it out though

I think you would be best to check the website for the province you are moving to and see what exactly their laws are, and maybe check directly with mechanics and ministry office as to what the laws are.

full cages are no legal in Ontario because if your not wearing a helmet you can do more damage to your head on any bars you contact, the cage can impair rescue attempts, and your vehicle will not react and absorb impact which if you hit another vehicle that's not caged will cause it to take more then its designed for

It does seem like a pain for me to bring the E30 over, shame I shall miss it.
It sounds pretty sensible about the full cage without a helmit. Never really thought of it that way.
How hard is it to source the parts to do another conversion?
