Unfortunately. I get a letter every time I work on my car.

I think it all started when I left this on the driveway for a few days...

Bahaha ya that would probably do it.
I've had two complaints issued to me through the condo corp but I'm pretty sure it's just from the old hag across the street.

Now I just smile and wave at her while she stands on her front stoop staring at my disapprovingly

Only thing I can come with is that you were giving this house. So you could pass the deal up lol. But really, I love the progress so far I miss my old beater E30 one of the easiest cars to fix

Updates: Got the new front calipers swapped in along with the new pads and rotors tonight. I'm starting to realize how much I have to do and how little time I have to do it in. My schedule isn't quite as bad as Shawn and Chris' but it's still tight.

I'm aiming to unleash the fury of the E30 in Picton on the weekend of May 26-27.

Between now and then the only things I REALLY have to do are:
- Coilovers
- Swaybars
- Rear brakes

I have a pile of other stuff I'd like to get done before then though.

Oh, did I mention I also have to repair the suspension on my other track car (Protege) before the lapping day at Calabogie in June? Ay yai yai!!

(Argh - I had this all written up on Tapatalk and then the app crashed *@#!)

More updates! (Since Saturday coverage at work sucks...)

The E30 now has new brakes on all four corners. I'm running jobber blanks with HAWK HP+ pads. Shawn and I have had pretty awesome experience with these pads on the E36 and I've actually switched back to them on the Protege.

The brake fluid was (mostly) swapped and all the lines have been bled.

I also primered the spoiler. I couldn't waste that sick tape job

The car is now getting safetied.

Last night, I picked up my spare set of tires. 205/55 14 R888 on Kosei rims (not K1s though). Hopefully Dad can learn the car on these before thoroughly abusing the 225/45 15 NT01s.

Speaking on chunky rubber, I ordered my extended studs from Vorshlag this week. They should be here in a day or two.

I've got A LOT left to do on the car before the end of the month. My events schedule is CRAZY!

Check it out:

Saturday May 26 - Pro-Solo @ Picton
Sunday May 27 - Auto-x @ Picton (can't remember if it's a regional or St-lac)
Sunday Evening May 27 - Lapping @ Shannonville
Monday May 28 - Full-day Lapping @ Shannonville

It's going to be an insane next two weeks. Anyways here are some pics!

Hawk pads are pretty awesome for sure. I used their ceramic line on the wife's mini. Almost 0 dust. Compared to BMW oem, it's such a huge relief lol.

Just stopped by the shop and my mechanic gave me a ~$2000 shit list of stuff the car needs to be ready for the track (I race with him so he knows what the plan is lol).

I've started calling in favors. Shawn and Chris are going to help me out with redoing all my hardlines.

I need to patch some holes in the floor.

I need to replace the emergency brake and backing plates too. This means new wheel bearings. I'm debating if I just want to swap hubs but 60$/ bearing vs. 185$/ hub makes it a little less tempting.

Update!

1) I love my friends. You guys rock!

Chris sent me all the info that I needed for my hardlines and even gave me the name of the place where he got his stuff (Fedhill USA). Great price. 155$ for all the hardline material and the fittings

2) The internet is awesome! I was having trouble finding backing plates. While their prices are high, Bavauto.com's online catalogue provided me with the part number that I needed. I was able to find the parts for 12$ cheaper (each) at Pelican parts.

www.bestpricecarparts.com was my next stop. Picked up new emergency brake shoes, a parking brake hardware kit, new parking brake cable (just in case), and two new wheel bearings. Orders over 75$ ship for free and they usually ship out of Southern Ontario.

The backing plates seem to have the longest delivery time but I'm going to hope for the best.

The next stop after work is Kenny-U-Pull to see if I can wrestle a wiper linkage out of the two E30s (that are hopefully still there). Also FYI, Kenny-u-pull is having a 50% off sale this weekend.

I was over there, and he basically has anything you could need.

He showed me the yard and there's probably 20 E30s in there.
