I love it SiR! There is no difference between 650 and 651. Original part # ends with 650.
Since bmw does not sell brand new ones, if anyone is looking to buy them online they would have to get rebuilt ones and the part# for rebuilt ends with 651. Same rack ..650 was orignal pn and 651 is rebuilt pn. From wat I have read there is no difference between zhp and late 330 model racks. Even the pn r the same. But ppl argue they r different.. I don't know wat to believe and at this point I don't even care lol. Its explained in the link I posted on my last reply.

just for general knowledge if anyone finds this thread through searching, the z3 rack and 95 m3 rack have the same turn ratio, but the z3 rack has shorter turn locks. just means you won't be able to turn as aggressively

wow so what about the tie rods? are they the same? and how will this effect the alignment? because my power steering lines are leaking pretty bad too... and by late model e46 what do u mean? and whats the difference between a e46 rack n a 95 m3 one?

this is incorrect
turn to lock dont really mean anything..
its the ratio that matters and the z3 is quicker than any rack that came on the e36.

use your oem tie rods, and they screw right in.
the e46 ones are too long.
dont worry about the 95 m rack. it sucks wang . that info posted above is incorrect.
forget the z3 rack anyways. they are old and hard to come by. an 02+ 330 rack is what you want. easy, newer, cheaper, easy to source.
Ive had a zhp one in my car for almost 2 yrs.
