My 90' E30 cabrio UPDATE :)
Hi everyone...
It's been a while since I've been on this site.
Almost time to take my car out of hibernation!!!
I've made some progress with my E30! I even scored some Azevs Type A rims too!
However, my current issue is the swap I did to plastic bumpers. I had a full Racing Dynamics kit... but I didn't realize that my front RD skirt would only fit the chrome (ish) bumpers.
From what I recall the plastic bumpers I bought were from an 89' E30 cab.
I called RD USA but they're sold out. Do I have other options? Like perhaps... taking my current bumper and somehow getting it custom fit? : /
If you look at the front bumper in the last two pics... you'll notice it doesn't fit right
Any help would be great!
Gracias!

Better pictures needed, from those it looks like it fits better with the plastic bumpers than it did with the diving boards!

appearance wise, the spoiler suits the plastic bumper.

It does look like it sits a little forward in that last pic but not too bad.
Better pics would help.

Love the color
Need better pictures, but I'm sure you can mod it to fit.

Looks better then my bumper from that view lol, however i agree with every one its hard to see whats wrong from these pics.
Anything can be made to fit with the right effort. If its the mounts that dont allign then shaving the old ones and bonding new ones could be the easy way out... well atleast the proper way to do it, but for god sake dont use any epoxy you'ed find at crappy tire! ... however I have also been told if the shocks on the front of the car are even a little bit off they can throw off the allignment of the bumper. I cant think of any way other then shims to allign it properly...
show us the problem well have a better solution
also you missed all the nice days why's your car comin out now?

You just missed the midnight cruise that took place last Friday. There are weekly meets a La Paloma in Woodbine, details in the link below, I'm not sure how the turn usually is as I haven't been to one in a while. You'll find the bigger meets are during the official cruise dates.
http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69352
Two bigger events left for the year:
Midnight Cruise II: Friday July 27th
Autumn Cruise: Sunday September 16th
http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149419
Also Bimmercruise is on Aug. 26, that's probably the biggest event where you'd see alot of Max members.

Hey there!
I finally got the pics... I know... I take forever... but I haven't been able to focus on my E30 as I would like to.
The attached pics are the issues I've been having- using my previous skirt package (that originally fit my chrome bumpers) with my newer plastic bumpers. (Note: The skirt package on my E30 is Racing Dynamics)
Would it be a bad idea if I just changed the entire skirt package to fit my plastic bumpers?
Modifying my E30 hasn't been easy... I've spent a lot of money fixing it. I don't have any regrets... as I love this car... I just want it to be done already! lol!
Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks again!

New "bumper mod" not done properly
Your R&D front valance is "early model" specific!!! iIt will NOT! match up to the newer bumpers

rear bumper needs to be removed and adjusted from the looks of the pic. I'd take the front bumper and valance off and start over. valance also misaligned.

To be honest.. I'm not sure if the rear cover is clipped in on the left as once I got it painted .. they assembled it and left it as is The paint shop was a total nightmare to deal with...
Is there a place anyone can suggest for me to take it to? My dad is great at fixing the car but not as good in modifying the exterior.
Thanks!
