I've worked there in the past. My old man and my older brother currently work there.

Mostly Camtac, but I worked at Skyjack for a short period as well. I was working in engineering for my co-op terms.

Nice, that is what I am in the midst of doing. I am not a big fan of manufacturing. Its just endless paperwork. What school did you go to?

You're in the midst of doing co-op? In your original post you said you are an automotive engineer? Unless you've gotten your license I'd be careful just throwing around that term. I got my degree in mechanical engineering from Waterloo last year. I still need two more years of valid work experience and to write (and pass) the law and ethics test before I'll call myself an engineer though. And yeah the paperwork sucks, especially having to do APQP and PPAP for Cat.
However this is your M50 build thread, if you want to chat more about this stuff PM me. I don't want your build thread to get off topic.

^ My advice - do the ethics test now while you're just out of school. Your mind is still in "study mode" but after a few years working, you don't feeling like hitting the books anymore lol.
I've got one year left till i get my 4 yrs

I'm already out of study mode, I got the exam prep package from PEO a few weeks ago, it's just been sitting on my desk lol. But I agree with you that it's better to just write it and get it out of the way.

The PPAP's are the worst. My current project is to remake all the CMM instructions per operation per part. Its going to take me weeks.
What fields of engineering do you guys work in?

you dont have to be an engineer to work on cars/engines. in fact id say 95+% of engineers dont know jack about working on cars or engines in general.
dive right in iverson. thats how you learn.
I pulled apart my first engine long before I took any specific engineering courses.
and yes manufacturing is kinda lame. lol camtach.
I think if you have the degree you can still be called an engineer...but you cant call your self a professional/must make the pt you dont have your peng yet imho.

IMO if it's going to see boost I'd build it properly for it's eventual purpose from the beginning ...that being with nice aftermarket forged pistons/rods.
why just the one 330 cam?
