It's very, very simple but just takes a LOT of time (almost 40hours for me). 99% of the result will depend on your prep work and attention to detail in hard to reach areas.

Thanks. I'm super anxious to throw it in the car but must let it cure for a few days...

That's because he had an adventure on Church St. later that night.

I only did the surfaces as if they were be from BMW: front and rear door panel inserts, seats, and headrests. Will switch to a black headliner in the Spring to finish it up.

Thanks. Nope, it's curing for the next 48 hours and then I will have to condition it and let it sit again. I doubt I'll put it back before I leave on Monday - don't want to rush it. I'd rather give it extra time to seal properly and throw it back in the Spring.

Ha - no. Lol. If I had to do this again, I wouldn't start from black. It takes more than twice the effort when starting with such a dark original color to work from.

LOL! My apologies - shout to my Derek right here for lending a hand during a lot of the procedure. Wouldn't have been as easy without the help!

As am I! I just finished applying the protectant and conditioner. I'll get some dSLR pics soon but I don't think it'll go back in the car until Spring. I leave town tomorrow and time is not on my side for this.

Damn that dye turned out really well.
I've seen people to do worse jobs to their hair.

LOL! Thanks.
I redid the area around the folding mechanism. Before, I merely masked this plastic trim as I couldn't figure out how to remove it. The results were not 100% satisfactory (you could see where the masking took place - it looked cheap) so I figured out how to pop all this trim off and re-dyed the underlying portion for a perfect look. Seat back is reinstalled and it looks just like OEM now!
