E36 Shortage Problem?

Just got my car back from the body shop, and they installed a set of aftermarket headlights but now when the lights are turned to the ON position every time I apply the brakes ... the right side turn signal appears faintly with this shorting sound... has any one heard of anything like this before?

sounds like tails , and having tails from a 96+ on a older car ( wiring diff for obcs)
