Its been a while, I was going to call you and see how your project was going. The E30 is going to get stripped down and painted before I put the engine in so its going to be a while before that's done. Also I have a few more things I want to do to the E36 before I fully commit to the E30. How is your project coming along?

That's good to hear man! What else is planned for the e36? My project is almost near completion. It's been a long while. Lots of blood, sweat and headaches. It's actually at the body shop now and should be back in my possession next week. All that's left is to drop your old s52 in, gut the interior and exhaust work. I should have it ready for early spring. I wanted to ask you about the exhaust situation, im a little confused as of what way to go. You mind if I give you a shout over the weekend?

Sounds like its coming along nicely. I just have to do the tie rods on the E36 and I also want to get my hands on a set of wheels ...and possibly some cams next summer. Its a bottomless money pit because there is ALWAYS something to buy.. Sill waiting for that damn air box too.. Give me a shout this weekend and we'll talk.

I know, almost forgot I bought one lol. They had to revise the design because it wouldn't clear the E36 shock towers. It should be done soon though, maybe another week. I won't have it until November so it looks like I'll have to wait until the spring to install. 1st world problems.

Awesome, didn't know they were making another one to fit the e36.

Yea, it should of had the new design from the get go since the oem airbox clears with no issue. They added aluminum extensions around the internal trumpets which pushed the airbox towards the shock tower by an extra 0.75". This is fine for the E46 since the engine bay is a couple inches wider than the E36.
