Yea it's way cleaner. The amount of vacuum and coolant lines on my s52 was insane. The s54 is pretty much already wire tucked. Looks a lot better in the engine bay too.

I’ve received a call from Jay last night, that the car is ready and today (Sunday) it’s the Dyno day. I am excited and can’t wait till I hear the sound of the engine with full open throttle.
I will ask Jay to post the Dyno result and the final pics.

Congrats! Can't wait to see the results. The exhaust work on that car is very impressive to say the least.

She's done.
A group of us met at the shop on a gray Sunday afternoon to mark the occasion. Mike buttoned up the last details and we took her on her first drive - almost 100km away in Oakville for Randy's dyno day.
How does it drive? Very hard to describe. Most (or many) of us know what an E46 M3 feels like. A select few have tried the S54 in other factory platforms (Z3, Z4) and felt differences, some subtle others significant. An even smaller handful have piloted swaps, like Mike's E36. But this one? Totally different story. The sheer lunacy of staring at an early 80's era dashboard while wiggling the rear end through 3 gears and 8200rpm of powerband is surreal. And the sound is like no other S54 out there, thanks to the one-off all-TIG stainless steel exhaust incorporating custom fabricated headers, dual 2.25" piping merging to a single 3.5" collector and a straight-through muffler.
Of course, we need far more pics, videos, and commentary on this car. But we're closing up shop to check out the Blue Ridge Parkway tonight, returning on the weekend. We'll do our best to share the final product that we're so proud of once we're back. For now, here's a shot on the dyno as well of a copy of the results. See you guys next week!

I received a call yesterday from Jay that my car will be ready for pick up. I have to admit that I felt like I am picking up a brand spanking new car, it felt that way to me.
Sure enough my baby was ready; Mike was going over it to make sure every thing would be 100%.
When they took my car out side the shop I couldn’t believe that Stance Factory did everything to the last bolts and nuts to make sure that what they promised was delivered on budget and on time and in deed they did. These two guys Jay and Mike are the most professional, knowledgeable, friendly and most resourceful people that I have came across and I whish them the best and prosperous future, because they earned it and deserve it.
Simply put they made my dream come true. Again thank you for your hard work Stance Factory, Job Well Done.
I will post some pics as soon as I get a chance,
Thanks,
Sia

I was there the day before I think, ironically there were 4 cars with S54 in them in the shop at the time, and only 1 of them was an E46.

Just an update as how reliable this swap was and the performance point of view driving it to vintage and at RTT 2012.
Driving down to vintage, we were 4 cars, (2) M5s, (1) 525i-S54 and 1M coupe. We were cursing about average 75 to 85 miles/h and no problem and few times I had it north of 140 m/h to just test the stability and braking among other things checking the A/C which was on most of the time (works great), and gages, cluster, and other electrical and electronic which all works as I hoped it would. At the same time, we were driving on the twisty back reads of Smoky Mountains which was great testing ground for suspension and power shake down that was performed flawlessly. On the other hand, I had my eye on the oil level till the end of the trip, and it was fine, so as the 6 speed operation, shifting gears just feels like butter and as for the rear end 3:73 combination with 6 speeds and the S54 gives you the feeling of unlimited pull.
Over all the swap was successful and performance is out standing and extremely pleasurable and highly addictive. Thanks to Stance Factory!

, People who go to this extend of modification doesn’t care about GAS consumption or at least I don’t.
But to satisfy some hungr and curiosity, every time that Mario’s e28 M5 and Mark’s e28 M5 needed gas and stopped for refueling, I still had a shy of half gas thank left.

^ true, however, it's still a valid question.
On a side note! Love the car. I saw it a couple of times at stance factory. Can't wait to see it now that it's all done!
