M3 Cat back into a 318IS???

I need pipe work cus mine is all rusted, and I will be able to fit the M3 exhaust with a Y pipe, my only question is how will it sound? and will there be any benefits?

Thanks...

Like an M3 ofcourse! Lol, i agree with 'sir'. Imo better off just going with a mild muffler.

I disagree. Not sure on the fitment, as the M3 bolts directly to my 99 328is, but not sure on the 318is from your year.

It would increase the flow and less back pressure. and the M3 exhaust does sound great!

^ M3 muffler won't make it sound like an M3 one bit.

awwww come on guys, i mean it's slower than a lawn mower, but again for a beater that cost me less than a grand....

I'd rather be riding slow, than be seen on a ricer with a loud muffler...and mine has no 318 sign, with 17" contour rims, black on black with xenons and such, so nobody knows , mind you though the rims make the car even slower

I'd rather not drive a civic than a 318.It's not all about acceleration, assuming this is the only + between this two cars.I own a 318 as a daily driver and I have driven a lot of Honda s ,it may be a bit faster but that its all,You can even get cut from all that cheap plastic interior.

The M exhaust it would only make the car heavier,

the M3 exhaust is heavier, but definitely has a nice deep growl to it..

I don't know man, I had my share of Honda's, but a Civic DX, and a 318IS don't even compare IMO, except the gas milage on the DX is really good!
U can also prolly find a cheaper 318 than a Civic DX of the same year!

that all depends. Civics are dirt cheap if you look in the right places.

and you are right they dont compare. the civic a a million times better
I loathe 318s...but at least its only a beater! lol
