Hey Klaus,
I am planning to be maxed out in C. the car starts in D class and i am taking 7 points for the swap. the engine will be staying stock this year. With everything else on the car i should be at 29 points

Chris is right - unless the point system changes (which apparently there are going to be revisions). Should be fun

well, good luck then ... I guess it is up to the mood of the day of the "Tech" guy in Ottawa.

It used to be that whenever you have an engine swap from a different model (E36 motor into an E30) you are automatically in MOD or A in Ottawa. This was the case back when I ran there. A few years ago my car only had a few mild mods, like Bilstein Sport shocks some swaybars and that's about it, other then the M50 transplant.
In every other series I got thrown into D/Mod and this left me no other option as to bring the rest of the car up to a level that is competitive.
... now it is ...
So if you go to a Ontario Regional series, you would be in D/Mod ... welcome

Yea MCO classing is a little different. Ill be prepping the car for "C class" under MCO classification so i know that i will have no shot at being competitive in Regionals this year, but should fair ok for the mco events. Im hoping to take care of suspension next year since the budget wont allow for it this year.

Should be a fun season nonetheless!

A bit of an update:

Finally finished up the bodywork last week:

Just need to seam seal the welds and slap some paint on it.

After the body patches were done, ran all new brake lines and fuel lines, and hooked up the SS Soft lines

Then bolted the rear end back together, now ready to bolt it back onto the car

Now the fun stuff begins!
Bolted up the subframe with the solid motor mounts, New control arms, Solid CAB, and sway bars.

Something elso to put on the list for next year
Or maybe Jamie (Aero) can make me one
