However it was the end of the season for me - time to get to work!
Game plan:
1. pull engine, clean & paint engine bay
2. gut interior, build roll cage (yup - Chris & I will be doing our own, with some guidance from a local pro )
3. paint roll cage & interior
4. bodywork, bodywork bodywork
5. keep taillights
6. install lexan windows
7. Build splitter, wing, rear diffuser
8. paint exterior
9. reinstall engine with new cams (either schrick or sunbelt)
10. retune and go fast

Fixed for ya.

I'm going to put some of that tint stuff on to see how it looks... should be pretty cool with the black paint job.
Paint scheme:
Exterior: flat black + clear coat
Interior: white
Roll Cage: red
Also, to keep with the theme of the car, I'm going to change the emblems. What are your thoughs on:

The initial plan was to try and pinch it off, but we couldn't because it had melted right at the connector.
I'm going through my tool box and find an extra clutch slave cylinder for my BMW with a clutch line attached. I figure, what are the odds that it fits? Well sure enough, the line threads on!!! so we grab a set of vise-grips, fold the line in half and pinch it shut, electrical tape it all together & zip-tie it to the frame. I go buy some brake fluid, pump up the system, and we get pressure!!!!
We're careful since we only have front brakes, but he makes it to Peterborough, and then to Mosport monday morning.

^ thanks dude
Yeah it was pretty rediculous, but you do what you have to when you're stuck at a truck stop in Napanee on a Sunday night at 10pm...
Chris & I were pretty proud of ourselves when we got rolling again with no issues

Started the work last night - my buddy Jeff & I were able to pull the engine out of the car. It took 3 hours from the time we brought the car in, to the time the engine was out.
This weekend I'll start cleaning up the engine bay, and will hopefully be able to reinstall the engine in the next few weeks!

I just want to clean things up a bit - fix some rust, clean up the wiring, get rid of clutter... then i'll spray it (was initially thinking black, but maybe something else now so that any leaks will be easier to spot) to make it look cleaner.
After that - bodywork, gutting interior, cage.... If you want to come lend a hand, beers are on me!

This weekend was another productive one:
Jeff & Barrie came over and helped me prep the engine bay for paint and take the doors & bumpers off.
We were able to prime & lay the first coat saturday, and today I put two more coats of paint and then some clear coat to finish it off. So far, I'm happy with the results!
It looks good - not show car good - but perfect for what I want
