Where is the best place to buy Winter rims and tires in Canada??

There is no "best place"

Either you or your friends know someone that will hook you up, or you just need to shop around for the best possible price.

Tires23 & simply tire come to mind for better prices though.

You live in Halifax so I assume you mean online? If so then 1010tires.com

Otherwise if crossing the border is an option, going to Discount Tire Direct is always cheapest. Go there, have them install your tires, and drive back. Even after declaring the tires and paying duties it still comes to much less than say, Sears.

tire rack is nice in that it will give you the all in cost shipped to your door. that includes/duties/taxes etc.

the deals from there arent what they used to be, but sometimes they can still be good.

^ I agree. I've used TireRack in the past and have gotten pricing (including freight, exchange, etc.) better than any local place. That said, I only ever bought items on sale and this was at least a year and a half ago. Pricing might not be as competitive currently, especially given the exchange rate.

I've had good success with Braidan Tire in Markham. Brad's been able to beat Tire Rack on each set that I have bought, or any of my family has bought.
So far this year we've bought 5 sets of tires from Brad.
