Anyone else driving their BMW in the winter?
First winter I'll be taking the BMW out, I obviously bought winter tire's for the extra assurance/safety. Anyone else winterize there BMW? How is it in the snow?

BMws are great in the snow, winter driving is about control, and using your head while driving. I've comutted across toronto with open and lsd bmw's with no problems for years. Juest remember that everything takes longer to happen on cold slippery roads with any vehicle, so plan movements and braking and be alert

Tires tires tires!!!! I can't stress this enough. High quality winters...Michelin, Pirelli, hackapalitas...or however it is spelled. Great tires make you unstoppable. and of course driving expertise. But we all know that we're all experts cause we own BMW. (Grin) So that goes without mention..lol.

I think you are clueless about BMWs
I drove all my BMWs through the winter and no problems. I actually had more problems when I had my first car(Japanese FWD ) then any of my past BMWs.
Keep in mind that driving is 90% up to the driver, so it wont matter what you drive all it matters is whos driving.

I agree.
Drove my 94 Camaro Z28 M6 in the winter for many years when it was my daily. The car was lowered and with winter tires it never got stuck once. In fact I remember a wicked wicked snow storm in 02 or 03 when the Police, was telling people simply DO NOT, DO NOT go out and drive. I went EB on the 401 from Mississauga to Pickering.
You guys should consider doing a group rate at one of our winter schools in Minden this winter?
