Got deer before season opened!

Tis the season guys and gals.. Careful out there...

I figured out a way for the insurance to take care of those nasty stone chips on the hood!

If only I could get my wheels refinished through the same deal...

35,000kms, hardly a scratch... Should have taken my truck to work today..

What a solid car!

Hardly noticed hitting the deer, could have kept going to work, but thought I had better go to the police station instead.. No air bags or real damage other than the hood, fender and headlight/grill..

Yeah, didn't even take the mirror off, or touch the windsheild!

I had a flashback to Planes, Trains, and Automobiles where the deer ends up in the back seat! Or was that Tommy boy?

Oh the deer? It was dark and it really never hit that hard, more of a redirecting roll, so I think it might have done a roll over the car and headed back to the ditch..

I was in a string of cars doing 95kms and no one else even slowed down so I assumed he went back.. But I couldn't go back and look either..

No blood, just a bit of pooh.. Most of it on the outside of the car! haha

I'd be very surprised if your rad support wasn't bent. Make sure the repair work is done properly, or stone chips will be the least of your worries.

Glad you're ok and the damage seems minimal.

Yeah, I have a feeling if I had a higher car it would have been more of an impact that's for sure!

I took it to the best place around (Ford dealer, don't hold that against them) with a state of the art paint shop known for flawless baked on paint and attention to detail.. And I have known the body shop service manager for over 20 years. That should account for something!

It could have been worse for sure. Doesn't look too bad surprisingly. Glad you're ok.
