anyone else with problem pairing bluetooth with iphone in 2009 135i?

hi there and good day! I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with pairing up there phone with the Bluetooth in the 135 series? I have the BMW assist on the display and the phone buttons on the steering wheel and radio but doesn't work? am I missing something that I might need to get or do? any help would be great and thanx in advance

dealership set mine up

Then I got a new phone and tried to set it up myself and can't seem to do it......

The dealer did mine to, this may sound silly but did you guys turn on your bluetooth. Bmw was playing with the buttons on the right hand side of the radio. There was a selection of device names and, i had to input / make my own password up on my iphone to do this all..
