So, today I acquired an s52 coil cover. Was really heavy and took four guys to lift in the car

How are those silverlines treating you? You need to take me for a spin in your car, I'm coilover shopping.

For sure, Polska power reprezent!
Also, most of my maintenance items should be here this week, $560 (OUCH!). I need some brake lines, who's got the best SS lines out there? UUC?

Love the ride and the handling so far, since I know you are soo fuh raze, you'd probably want higher spring rates. But I find the ride perfect for a daily, I was expecting much harsher.
I hate that the stock offset front strut mounts on the m3 make the adjusters hard to get too. I can barely get a needle nose in there to turn them. It sucks that the rears have to be removed to be adjusted, but that's standard for the Koni SAs.
One thing I'm not too happy with in the e36 is the understeer. It needs more camber or something up front, or maybe it's just me and I need more track time in it, but i never felt that much understeer in the e30s.

^^Trevor, it might be how you have your coilovers set up, a stock e36 understeers less than stock e30's. Also, do you have a staggered tire setup? That will definitely contribute to understeer, less rubber to the ground up front = less grip up front. Regardless of how BMW releases the car from the factory, I prefer the grip and handling of equal shoes all of the way around, with a 3 series regardless of hp. Do you have a strut tower brace? There's another fail which adds major understeer. If you do remove it for a few days, I guarantee you won't be putting it back on!

This project is one hell of a slippery slope.

Don't worry, money is the lubricant on that slope, so if that runs out, you come to a natural, grinding halt.

235/40s all around, on 17x8s squared setup. No Strut bar. It could be how the coilovers are setup or the alignment, e36m3s are known to understeer, bf.c guys seem to suggest more camber up front.

Yeah, I need a flywheel/clutch combo now (was hoping the used one I picked up was fine, but the flywheel is fubared and the clutch is almost done), and that is going to make me an indentured servant to the family business for a couple weeks.
Trev, are you in Toronto this week? Want to meet up sometime and take me for a spin?
