Got the motor pulled and took off the valve cover to see a perfect head. I was going to tear down the motor and replace some parts, but everything looks too fresh to touch for now. I should be able to just pop this puppy in! No scoring or wear anywhere!
Tomorrow (Today) I'm going to see what I can do about the oil pump nut. Get the rear end in the car and hopefully the motor.
RE: Oil pump nut, there's a solution from VAC motorsports. I'm gonna order the E46 version prob. near end summer if you can wait (maybe we can get a better deal..)

^Im thinking of doing the same but keep reading that once the nut is secure the stress gets transfered to the pump shaft which then shears off! Sometimes I wonder if we're just too paranoid..
