Honestly.. aside from a UUC shifter.. the best set up i had was a $15 ebay special... I used the arm with the stock plastic bushing and not the crap cup thing they provide.. throws were amazingly short.. for $15 was worth every cent and I never had a problem.

do you remember who made the ebay short shifter? i might cheap out and go that route. the guy who owned my car previously just sawed off the shifter on my car to give it the appearance of a short shifter. it kinda bugs me knowing that its not real. so obviously i still have a full throw to every shift.

Um why would you take the fact that I said that as a bad thing, There are almost 20 people on this site running my ssk, and everone has positive feed back.
and how the hell does sawing off the shifter make it look like a ssk??? My kit has a 50% throw reduction, and the shifter sits at the stock height....buy what you want but for $80 I sell a complete kit that has been tested, and passed all the abuse it has been thrown.

All i remember is that it was the cheapest one they had and the cup thing that it came with was anodized red.. I know there are some companies that are blue.. I just took out the clips that hold in the bushing and ball of the shifter and popped it in the OEM plastic bushing.. and installed it like OEM.. i was honestly very surprised..
