When the Dollar goes up? what do you think of a Quattroporte?
I know the rise of the Canadian dollar is coming, and I am really considering heading over to the U.S and buying a Maserati Quattroporte! Prob a 2006-2007:

A nice black or white one, tint the windows, put some amazing wheels on it, and thats really about it. I didn't fully inquire about price, but im guessing i could find a really nice one for about 40$ my first pick would be the GrandTurismo, but i'd have to wait at least 2 years untill its in my price range, also who knows where the currency will be at by then...
My other 2 options are a 04-05 m3, or a 05 LS430 Ultra Package.
Any opinions or input?

I would go with an M3 or even a 7 series for luxury. Maseratis are nice, but they don't look special esp from the rear it just looks like some ordinary car.

Why do you think? I know it will require more maintenance, but do you think it will be really that bad? I know I live in Ottawa and i know Montreal has a few amazing tec places for them...
I bet there are forums to discuss everything also, i could work my way around things..... I have great connects and good mecanics also that could help with anything they can.... although Maserati is like a new world for me, im not too familiar with it.

I would take a LS430 over a 7 series anyday! I dont think i would ever have to touch anything on a lexus, literally! A 7 series like any beamer, i would have all sorts of maintenance requirements! Personally i just dont want a bmw luxury car. On the other hand M3 is a great option!!

Ya i would use it as a daily driver, but not in winter! thats the thing though, i dont want a 7 series or sclass... This car is amazing, and its been on my mind for a while! for some reason, i dont think it will hurt me much on maintenance. I'd be doing my own oil changes, and whatever else i can.... but if any problems arise, then id have to look into it of course and look for the most efficient route...

Quattroporte, IMO, is for someone who has a lot of excess cash, a large paid off house and a steady six figure income. Otherwise, you can't afford maintaining it.

^ naw man. I'd rather have an M3 or a 335i over that. Auto journalist tests don't find the Lexus anything special.
