need body shop in Markham area - picture included

I am looking for a recommendation of a body shop in the Markham area. My E60 was hit in a parking lot (and of course, no note was left).

I'll be going through insurance, and looking for a body shop in the Markham area.

Here's a picture. It got scraped on the left front. It's put some pretty deep scratches in the bumper and scratched the paint off of the metal where the bumper joins the side panel.

I'm not sure what approach to fixing the bumper is best? (repair/paint, replace....) Suggestions?

I think you would be better off paying cash than going through insurance as I would consider this a minor repair. You would have to pay a deducible and your premium would go up next year if you went through insurance. Better trade-off by paying cash in this situation in my opinion.

In terms of body shops in Markham I have heard good things about Chipmaster Markham (located across Markville Mall).

http://www.chipmastermarkham.com/

If you look at their ‘Before and After’ section of their website there is a white BMW which has similar damage to yours. They are offering some sort of group buy on RedFlagDeals which you can read and it with give you a lot of positive feedback from previous customers having their car repaired by them.

thanks... I haven't heard of ChipMaster before. I will check them out.

Also, I have spoken with my insurance company and they assure me that it will not affect my premiums at all since it's determined that I'm not at fault. The deduction does however apply - so I'll have to pay that portion.

What is the success rate of "fixing" a bumper? There are some good scratches on it... can these be repaired nicely?

Your 'premium' may not go up, but you may lose your claim free discount, making the cost you pay increase. That is how they get you. Be careful with their technicalities.

I would take this as a chance to upgrade to a M Package bumper.
