well you should, if you ask anybody who was driven both cars, they will tell you that m3 and 135i perform almost the same, acceleration wise!! ive driven both of them and did quite a few hwy runs, they are neck to neck!! but 135i doesnt perform nearly as good as m3 does in the corners!!

they are closely lined up in power, the 135 is a bit lighter.

The broader & extra torque the 135i makes will jump the M3 off the hit. The M3 will eventually catch up, but it'll take a while, and the extra HP will only become evident in the higher gears. The 135i is no slouch.
You all know my favorite saying, HP sells cars, torque wins races, and this is a prime example of a torquier power characteristics winning over a much larger HP advantage of the M3.

i drive both all the time and go on 407 runs and yes they quite the same, believe it or not the 135 comes close in the handeling section to the m3.. the m3 only seems like its faster because if the screaming v8 under the hood

The 135 will blow the M3 off the line, then die quickly. Baby 135 grunts at ~1400 RPM which lets it rocket... and believe me it does. I've only test driven the M3 so I can't be definitive about the takeoff on it.

Not when done up subtley.
Anyway, point is moot. E92 M3 > E8x 135
End of story.

I remember this from way back
I honestly don't understand the slack the 135 gets it's such a great all around BMW. A little small but so is the e30 and everybody loves the e30!
BMW got it's start in small cars
