Just shooting some sticker ideas around. Forza makes it relatively easy to do this

It's gunna be time for a top-down drive up to Port Perry soon. I expect results when I arrive! You gunna be at Mosport on April 28/29?

I'm hoping it will be moving under its own power the next time you see it Realistically, it should actually drive... just no way to stop it at the moment! Not sure if I'll be at Mosport that weekend... gotta play it by ear and see how things go on my end if the car can be finished up by then or not.

Small progress lately... Bought some new brake caliper pistons and seals last week. Going to look at putting the calipers back together and give them a shot of paint. Also installed the Konis in the front struts. They are almost 20mm shorter than the iX shocks, so again, a spacer had to be made to make up the difference. I did notice that the top part of the camber plate will need to be cut out a bit to give some room for the Koni adjuster tab. Easy fix that can be done later. Right now, it is just stuck in the stock location.

Shocks just mocked up. Mmmmm....

This probably doesn't count as inspiration but its going in here anyway since you don't seem to be, like, building anything right now...

(That's it in the middle in the last pic. Included because it shows the interesting lines even if not much else.)

Anybody know anything about this 2002 GT4? I'd never encountered it before today...

Similar to the 1600 GT but not... similar to http://www.pietro-frua.de./1967_bmw3000coupe.htm but not...

Yeah weird! I'm sure I've seen a pic of it before... but can't really place where I saw it and what the story is behind it. It kinda has some odd Glas-like features about it, but something about it says Bertone to me as well... *shrugs*

Easter update!

Got some progress to document from the weekend! As of now, all 4 calipers are rebuilt and ready for action. The rear caliper adapter is fitted, although I had to grind a bit off of the carrier to clear the discs at the back... all is well! Also installed the 100mm wheel studs, which I'll admit are a tad too long. Luckily, it gives me enough room to play with spacers a bit. My initial plan was to have 20mm spacers made... but after seeing how much room I have, I may go to a 25mm just for the heck of it. I also switched my rear spring choice after looking at ride heights and perch ideas. Going to an 8" 350# spring.

Calipers on the go...

Disc bolted on, caliper carrier bolted on, just double checking fitment.

Obligatory wheel stance pic to keep me motivated This is only a 16mm spacer. Add another 9mm to that, and it will be nice and close to the fender!

Still have to do:

Rear spring perches
Entire front brake system
Buy some high grade bolts for the steering linkage to install spherical bearing tie rods
25mm spacers all around, and possibly figure out how to make the hubs (at least the front) hubcentric
Bolt in fuel cell to the framework
Entire exhaust system

I think by then it should theoretically drive at this point... Not sure if I'l be able to make my deadline of April 21st!

I like your stance thinking -- big spacers and huge studs is gonna look awesome! Don't stress about your deadline who actually makes those stupid things... What losers :p

Nice gold hardware very unique!

Roger that! I'll get right on that exhaust idea That being said, I need to switch my attention to the exhaust soon, as there is a small glimmer of hope I'll get this thing going by the end of the week. Updates to come!
