Vendor/pricing recomendation

Just an idea, if any vendor would want to step up to the plate and offer "very rough" ballpark pricing on certain projects.

There are plenty of project being spearheaded by Toronto's most recognized BMW specialty shops (Stance, RMP, BImmersport etc).

There IS a market for engine swaps, and custom fab on older cars (e30, e32, e34, e36 etc)

my question is, would there be a possibility to have a type of chart on what to expect if you have letsay a e30, and want a engine swap with M50, M52, s50, S52 etc along with tranny options along with it...

kind of like a "turnkey ready" price.

I do understand there are tremendous variables at play when it comes to these swaps, however there can likely be a basemap point to a "minimum" expected cost associated considering the shop will provide the engine/*tranny/mounts etc etc etc.
*swap specific or prefered.

If you are willing to pay and are serious you'll need to contact each shop directly. Prices usually aren't discussed in the open because there are a variety of factors that effect it.

Prices for parts vary too much to give a turnkey price without first sourcing the parts. One day there could be an engine for $600, then other days you can't find anything under $1000 as an example. Add in all the smaller minor parts and you see how it gets complicated. Even labour is a variable cost which you need to discuss directly with the shop.

Good idea, but as you said I think it would be way too complicated to carry out.

Were talking literally a difference between $2000 and $20 000 depending on what aftermarket parts, rebuilds, used parts availability, condition of the receiving car

The quote can vary so greatly after the works started as well... SF and others ARE experts at these swaps, but they aren't psychic either

That said, I'm sure they can give you a good idea after seeing the car and having a good long chat about your goals
