Quick update...

Since that m3 vert sold, I decided to keep my car. So I bought the AA supercharger kit that kenmar had for sale.

Now I need to determine what to do with the motor.

I was considering buying an s50 and rebuilding it. Then installing the supercharger.

Or do I build a mix? Buy an s52 and turn it obd1 with parts from my m50.

I also have a spare set of s50 cams laying around...

Suggestions?

just gotta say... the convertible is the way to go if u come across another, even though your e36 is mint af , the topless aspect adds another element to your cruise, that being said and even though both are period correct go s50 , when you complete the build you'll be happy with the power and the relevance, at least id be i just got a tt u shud give me audi advice now lol jks

^ Thanks. I agree about the drop top cruising. But this is my old toy car. I'm going to have fun wrenching - I think that's half the fun.

I'm sure I'll get a fun convertible in the future, and when I do, it'll be newer and more exciting!

just read the thread i just finished installing a s52 odb1 conversion with a stage 1 RMS supercharger just dynoed it last week got 301 hp and 254 torque at the wheels need to clean up the tune running rich its a safe tune. It was a easy swap bought a low km s52 motor trans lsd for 2500 and bought used sc for 2000 and about 500 for gaskets seals etc started up first try drives great just need to work on the tune and get better fuel mileage about 350 to tank. with a e36 there is alot of parts and information out there. good luck
