Instead of starting a new thread, I figured I'd bring this one back from the dead.
Made a trip out west and this was the best i could get out of my tank.
OBC said i could go anothe 90+ KM.
Happy economy driving!

Just did 453km on a completely full tank till the red light came on. That was with 3 types of fuel additives as well as 91 Shell V.
13.245L/KM That's pretty bad!

Spark plugs, O2 sensors, and air filter should bring the mileage number up a bit eh. I'm going to give that a shot.

i get an average of 550 -630 driving between 130-140 on the hwy. mix of city and daily hwy rush hour traffic. this is with redline shifts every once and a while. thats midway in the section where the gas light is. i have to try this grandma tanks but its so hard to stay out of the pedal. 325i with a drop in k&n filter, oh and a little over 340,000km on it as well

I just picked up my 2008 323i last night.
Filled it in Barrie last night. Came to TO this morning doing 110kph.
Checked at hwy 400/401:
- I averaged 5.8 L/100km coming down
- distance to empty was still 865kms.
Once I hit T.O. the mileage will take a hit but if I was running straight highway, it looks like this thing could see 900kms/tank?!?!?
Barrie to T.O. I used 1/16 of a tank.

I know this thread is old . Regardless, coming back from my cottage this past weekend I managed 6.8L/100km with 3 other people in the car and a trunk full of luggage.
http://www.fuelly.com/driver/voluted/318is
Motor: 1995 325i
- reconditioned injectors, new fuel filter, cone filter attached to maf, new O2
- Mark D chip
- Shorty headers to stock e36 full system unmodified
- no fan clutch (electrical only, and it only turns on idling in traffic)
- Getrag 240 tranny from e30 318 to 3.91 lsd
I was impressed; normally I can't control myself and end up pushing past 100km/h and blowing my gas mileage. During my trip to/from Montreal earlier in the summer I still managed to get under 10L/100km despite my excessive speed (similar weight load).

I've been tracking my fillups for almost 50,000 km and you think i'm full of shit? Ok! I put a note on the fillup and said earlier that it was the trip back from my cottage cruising at 100km/h. I should also add that there are almost no traffic lights untill the last 30 minutes of the trip too. I'm not going back to the cottage this year so I doubt i'll be able to reproduce that with my typical driving habbits. My normal driving is 80%+ city.

Take a look at my odo readings and calculate it for yourself if you want...
My car is at 241587 right now so I won't need a fillup for a couple of weeks.
Those are the facts though, believe whatever you want.

I manage 8.5L/100km
That's mixed, with some spirited driving. I could get it lower if I tried really hard.
