check engine light keeps coming on

Hello, i recently bought a 2009 bmw 328i with xdrive.

I've owned it about 45 days now and I've had 4 check engine lights for 3 different reasons.
The first 2 cels were a cold start misfire. Mechanic said it was due to the cold weather -18
He did do the spark plugs the second time it came on.
The 3rd time it came on for a crankshaft sensor?
And the 4th was something to do with camshaft sensor or timing cant remember all he said about it.
He did an oil change and put a cleaner in to help break up chunks. but it's back on for the 5th time did go off on it's own 24 hrs later.

One thing he said about these german cars was they have more sensors than a regular car and they do go off alot.

Anyone have any ideas?! The car drives and sounds fine could it really be nothing to worry about?

Get the codes scanned and post them. Really hard to guess blindly without codes/info on exacerbating circumstances.

And get a new mechanic.

Buy a cheap OBDII scanner from ebay or Princess Auto. It's a handy tool to have. Save you from having to go b/f to the mechanic all the time.

Those are common and easy fixes most times.
