Exclamation **Getrag 420G - E46 M3 Transmission**

Selling complete, a Getrag 420G transmission which came off of my 2004 BMW M3.

History:

1) This was originally a 6-speed MANUAL gearbox.

2) The shift selector rod for gears 5 & 6 dislodged internally.
- The gears are mechanically fine, but you cannot select them.
- Case needs to be split (Bellhousing is already off), and lever on the selector rod to be spot welded.

3) In the meantime, I had purchased a used SMG Getrag 420G.
- Swapped belhousings, and installed that one back into my M3.

4) This transmission, although originally a manual, is now technically converted to an SMG.
- I also have the SMG slave cylinder, and SMG gear actuator parts available for sale separately.

No issues with the synchros.
Has only 85,000 kilometres of usage.

I can return this transmission to the Auto Recyclers and get my $320 core cost refunded.
Or I can offer it here for someone interested in repairing the selector shaft for gears 5 & 6.
Then you will have a super low KM M3 tranny.

MaxBimmer Price: $400

Do you have the bellhousing for the manual still? Could I put it back to manual?

My transmission was originally a manual, and when it broke I bought an SMG.
Then I converted that SMG to manual and installed it.

The parts that remained, put together, make an SMG.

So I couldn't use this as a manual using parts you have? This is now an SMG trans, correct?

Max, this is a manual transmission, he's just saying you COULD convert this one to an SMG if you wanted using the parts he pulled off his NEW transmission (to my understanding)

Correct.

To use this as a manual, you would need the belhousing from a manual.

Last call on the tranny before it goes to the scrap yard for the core refund.
