S52 conversion fuel issues

Before I had moved I put my s52 back in after changing a few internals on the motor. When I put it back into the car I mixed a couple of the leads and blew my red label 413 dme. So since I had a silver label 413, I swapped the red label chip into it and now was not getting power to the fuel pump relay. So I took the relay off, jumpered the terminals and it ran. I assume the EWS for the silver label is held in the chip, so any ideas on the cause for no fuel? This motor has run in my e30 for about a year without issue, but it ran with the red label 413.
